We treat our furniture with a sealant that will help protect it, but we do recommend daily care and maintenance to prolong its life and beauty. Use coasters and mats for protection. Clean up spills immediately to prevent damage from liquids or staining. Soak up spills with a dry paper cloth, wipe with a damp lint free cloth and dry immediately. Take care not to expose your furniture to strong or direct sunlight. Excessive sunlight can cause fading. Extreme heat and humidity changes can cause cracking and splitting. Take care not to place rubber or plastic materials on to the wood finish as chemicals within rubber and plastic can react with the finish if left in contact for a long period. If you plan to use your furniture in a bathroom environment, then please ensure it is well ventilated and humidity is controlled to reduce the risk of wood swelling. Seek professional advice for any scratches or staining.
