Wall Clocks FAQs

Where is the best place to put a clock in a home?

Consider which area of the home you spend most of your time in or near, or areas where you are more likely to need to know the time. Kitchens tend to be a popular clock location, as do living rooms and hallways. If you are sensitive to noise, avoid a wall clock in the bedroom, as it may interrupt sleep. Once you have decided what room to feature your wall clock in, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind regarding its placement. Avoid hanging your wall clock in direct sunlight to avoid damage from UV rays, and avoid hanging clocks too close to doorways where they may be impacted by frequent vibrations.

What size wall clock should I get?

Choose your wall clock based on the size of the space you want to fill; think of it as its own piece of artwork. Anything too big could be a distraction from your other decor, unless it's an intentional focal point. The dimensions of our wall clocks are always displayed in the product details section, so you can measure up your space and visualise exactly how it will fit.

How do I decorate around a large wall clock?

Large wall clocks may feel daunting to decorate around, but they can be a great asset to your space when utilised correctly. Our large wall clocks can act as wall art pieces in and of themselves, and can either be left as a statement piece or become the foundation for a gallery wall of smaller artworks. If going for a gallery wall approach, keep the colour theme started by the clock consistent throughout the pieces, and play with different sizes and shapes for the rest of the wall art.

How do I clean a brass or wood wall clock?

We recommend using a dry, soft cloth to wipe away any built-up dust - ensure you always handle the clock with care. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as this may damage the finish. Clocks in this collection are for indoor use only.

Can wall clocks be installed on any wall?

Yes, wall clocks can usually be installed on any wall provided they are mounted correctly, taking into account the clock’s weight. Our clocks can be mounted via nails or screws onto the wall. When choosing a wall, it is often easier to try to avoid thinner partition walls or walls in high-vibration areas (e.g. right next to frequently used doors) to reduce the risk of issues.
