These beautifully crafted baskets are handmade by NGO supporting rural craftswomen. They are naturally dyed, hand spun and woven using natural fibres. The baskets made up of a series of coils in this rigid shape. The handles are hand stitched from goat leather, naturally dyed with tree bark and vegetable extract.
The seagrass we have used to create this collection of baskets is sourced sustainably in Vietnam.
To care for your basket, we recommend using a soft-bristle brush to regularly remove any built up dust. To clean the item, you can use a mild soap and water on a soft cloth to wipe away any dirt. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Colour may fade in sunlight. Indoor use only.

Extended Returns: Purchases made between 16th November and 24th December, can be returned to us by Monday 22nd January 2024.
All purchases made from 25th December will have our standard 28 day returns applied.

Our Indra Coil baskets are handmade by a collective of 160 women. Established by an NGO as a sustainable livelihood project supporting women living in drought-prone rural areas, teaching them traditional Karnataka’s traditions and providing a supplementary income.

This is easily the most beautiful basket I have ever seen. I am delighted with it. My yoga mats fit into it beautifully and the leather and natural colours of the basket tie into my contemporary decor so well. Utterly delighted with this product.

It was perfect- purchased two one for storing throws/blankets in the sitting room. …. And one larger one for day to day shoes at the front door. Both are perfect sizes. Made very well, sturdy and the leather handles make them look fabulous. Will buy another one when I find a use for it. Might be slightly more expensive than other baskets you are paying for quality so no hesitation in recommending.

This lovely basket is even nicer than anticipated. The quality of the basket is outstanding and it looks beautiful and unusual. Having worked for an NGO and seeing abject poverty first-hand, I am always keen to buy products made by artisans who will benefit directly from each and every item sold.
