How it's Made
Jute is a great natural material that we love to use as it is a rain-fed crop that has little need for fertiliser or pesticides. It is a natural vegetable fibre that can be spun into strong and durable threads. These baskets are made on pit looms, an age-old technique where makers work with looms fitted into pits. Seated at ground level, they manipulate pedals to weave natural materials into individual designs. This method allows for precise control and intricate patterns, showcasing the skill and tradition embedded in each handmade piece.

Care Instructions
To care for your basket, we recommend using a soft-bristle brush to regularly remove any build up of dust. Use a mild soap and water on a soft cloth to wipe away any dirt. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Colour may fade in sunlight. Indoor use only.

Great quality
Was very excited to take delivery of my new washing basket and she did not disappoint! She’s a beauty! Excellent quality and very stylish, my only concern being the cloth lid making it slightly harder to use which means that the men/boys in my household will probably still leave their clothes next to it instead of inside it!!!
