Water hyacinth is an aquatic plant that grows in abundance in Vietnam. This can be an invasive plant that needs cultivating to curb its growth, making it a great raw material to create products from. Corn husk is the outer layer of corn. Using this to create baskets makes use of a natural material that would otherwise be discarded. Traditionally, the husk was used as an outer layer on baskets, to make them as airtight as possible to keep the contents as fresh as possible, now it is more often used as decoration.

Would have preferred leather handles but way too expensive
Product is decent enough and well made from "natural" material which is important to me, but it seems now that most, if not all Nkuku products are overpriced. The 20% discount is a given, like with most other companies these days, but even with this offer i just think everything is overpriced. I'll be making my search for "value" items elsewhere i'm afraid.
