stunningly beautiful table. Looks just like in the picture. The surface is much smoother than we thought it would arrive, although a bit rough. I have read all the possible reviews about this table prior to ordering it, and especially those that raised issues. In particular, there was a very critical review about this table in the John Lewis website which made us rethink whether to buy the table or not, but we decided to go ahead (especially as it is an easy process to return if you wish to), and we are SOOOOOOO very pleased to have bought it!. It is sturdy and stable and has an authentic chick look, an absolute gem. It can sit around it 8 people although more comfortably up to 6 probably. Some reviews mentioned the smell, but to the extent that there was, is came from the packaging, and the only smell we have is a mild one from the wood, which is actually hardly noticed. So, the bottom line is that we are very content with this purchase.
Very natural dining table, surface top is rough to the finger tip touch just as we had hoped. If you’re looking for a sanded shiny surface this isn’t for you.
Seats six adults very comfortably and I’m sure you could squeeze in a few more!!

Beautiful table, the style and size is perfect.
I am going to put a coat of Matt varnish on it to protect it
The size is perfect. It has a very rough feel which was expected so it has a rustic look. It took a while to get it properly straight and a spirit level helped.
The wood does smell a bit , but hopefully this will eventually go.
Lovely large round table. Looks great and cab easily seat 6 adults.
Only issue is the wood has a bit of an unpleasant smell. Hoping this settles as it becomes acclimatised to the room.
