The Rampura Side Table has an elegant sculptural shape that makes it an eye-catching addition to a living space. Handwoven from rattan around a sturdy iron frame, the artistry is in the skilful way the rattan has been tightly woven to completely hide the metal from view.
India has a rich heritage of weaving rattan and it is an important cultural tradition. The cultivation of rattan has delayed deforestation in some areas, this is because it has become such a valuable material that logging has been stopped to allow rattan growth. Handweaving with rattan is a traditional skill that we are looking to support through our designs.
To care for these items, we recommend spot clean only using a damp cloth or sponge. Colours may fade in direct sunlight or if in contact with abrasive cleaning products.
