How It's Made

This piece is made using traditional sand cast aluminium. The process involves preparing a mould from sand and heating the aluminium until it liquifies. The molten aluminium is then poured into the mould and, on cooling, the cast aluminium piece is removed. Sand cast aluminium has low dimensional accuracy which results in a rough surface finish, with irregular organic patination often occurring. The piece is then treated with an antique brass finish.
Care Instructions

Regularly wipe gently with a microfibre cloth. Please ensure the light is turned off when cleaning. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

    Misleading Listing - no shade

    I am very disappointed with the listing for this lamp s it is actually only for the lamp base and doesn’t include the shade. However, nowhere on the listing or during the order process was this mentioned or warned about. It should clearly state for the item listing that it is the base only and you need to purchase the shade separately. I have sent customer services a message about this but received no reply.

    The lamp base itself is lovely but I would not have bought it for that price knowing I would need to spend a further £40 on a shade.
