This lamp features a sculptural, organic form with a softly textured surface created through a traditional cast metal process. The grooves add depth and character, enhancing its tactile appeal. The base is finished in antique brass, offering a warm, subtle reflection of the light above. A striking piece that brings both texture and atmosphere to any setting. Please note lighting does not include bulbs or lampshades.
This piece is made using traditional sand cast aluminium. The process involves preparing a mould from sand and heating the aluminium until it liquifies. The molten aluminium is then poured into the mould and, on cooling, the cast aluminium piece is removed. Sand cast aluminium has low dimensional accuracy which results in a rough surface finish, with irregular organic patination often occurring. The piece is then treated with an antique brass finish.
Regularly wipe gently with a microfibre cloth. Please ensure the light is turned off when cleaning. Please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
