How It's Made

This piece is made using traditional sand cast aluminium. The process involves preparing a mould from sand and heating the aluminium until it liquifies. The molten aluminium is then poured into the mould and, on cooling, the cast aluminium piece is removed. Sand cast aluminium has low dimensional accuracy which results in a rough surface finish, with irregular organic patination often occurring. The piece is then treated with an antique brass finish.
Care Instructions

To care for your planter, we recommend only using plants that require a light water/spray. Regularly clean using warm water and a mild dish soap, do not leave to soak and please do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Indoor use only.
