Design Story

Our timelessly elegant Medani low cabinet, with a deep walnut finish and fluted glass, is a beautifully versatile piece. Use as a freestanding kitchen cabinet to store extra crockery, place in a living space for books or position in a bathroom for storing toiletries and towels. Place a table lamp or candles atop it depending on its location. The fluted glass creates an extra point of interest and gives the overall piece a sophisticated antique feel. The wood and tempered glass have been treated to withstand the moisture of a bathroom setting. A larger cabinet is also available.

How It's Made

These pieces are handmade from mango wood, then a walnut stain is applied which highlights the natural beauty of the grain while giving a deeper, darker finish to the wood. Mango wood is a by-product of mango farming. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, and harvested over a number of years, then once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they are cut down to allow farmers to plant more trees. Selling the waste material also provides the farmers with a supplementary income. The glass is fluted which gives it a beautiful appearance, and tempered which means it is heat treated to strengthen it for safety.
Care Instructions

Your furniture has been finished with a beautiful rich stain and treated with a sealant to help protect it. To maintain the beauty of this product and prolong its life we recommend following a few simple steps.

Wipe surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth to remove dust and moisture. Mild soap and water can be used for cleaning but take care not to use excess water as this will damage the grain and the stain finish.

Clean up spills immediately to prevent damage from liquids or staining. Soak up spills with a dry paper cloth, wipe with a damp lint free cloth and dry immediately. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as these may damage the wood. Avoid placing wet items directly on to the surface.
Use coasters and mats for protection.
