The metal is skilfully soldered around the glass with traditional tools; this handmade process means that there are weld marks on the joins of each piece, a feature that we love as it tells the story of how the product is made.

On my 70th Birthday I was presented with one of these unique and lovely frames by my daughter with very special photos to mark my birthday. Unfortunately the frame was damaged during a recent house move, which was not a design fault but the result of poor handling. Fortunately I discovered the identical frame on Nkuku, and all is well now.
