How It's Made

India has a rich heritage of weaving rattan and it is an important cultural tradition. The cultivation of rattan has delayed deforestation in some areas, this is because it has become such a valuable material that logging has been stopped to allow rattan growth. Handweaving with rattan is a traditional skill that we are looking to support through our designs.

Care Instructions

To care for your rattan lamp, we recommend using a soft-bristle brush to regularly remove any built up dust. Be sure to unplug the item before cleaning. Due to the natural material, please do not use any harsh chemical cleaning products.

Best small rattan lamp on the market

Nkuku has done it again. I was on the search for ages for a small rattan lamp for my sideboard and in my experience the vast options are very cheap looking and feeling. The cija lamp is neither. The quality and craftsmanship you would expect from Nkuku, casts a beautiful light, and golden/brown rattan colour not overly pale you see in most other options. Cannot recommend this lamp highly enough. Only call out is that it does seem to be the most expensive option out there but I guess you get what you pay for!
