These classically elegant Obi lanterns have a stylish curved top and practical carry handle. They are the perfect shape to hold a church candle or tealights and look beautiful on a mantelpiece or near a fireplace. Although simple in design these lanterns are difficult to make as the brass is skilfully welded by hand by skilled artisans to fit the glass.
To care for your lantern, we recommend regularly wiping with a soft, dry cloth to prevent the build up of dust or dirt. We recommend a microfiber cloth in the circular motion for the glass. To remove excess wax, use warm water with a mild dish soap, be sure to dry immediately and do not soak. Indoor use only. Please position the candle securely and ensure that the flame is not directed at the glass. This product will get hot in use. Keep out of reach of children. Wait until fully cooled before handling. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Local metal workers skilfully solder around the glass using traditional techniques. This handmade process means that there are weld marks on the joins of each piece, an honest feature that we love as it tells the story of how the product is made.
