Our Bwari round marble serving boards are handmade using traditional tools in the shadows of the Taj Mahal. This elegant, durable material is ideal for use as a chopping board, cheese board or serving platter. The white marble combines with the natural mango wood in this contemporary yet timeless design.
These collections are made from natural marble and there will be variations in the finish of each piece. Our marble is sourced from Rajasthan. Our mango wood pieces are created from sustainable mango wood. The Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, harvested over a number of years. Once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they can be cut down and used to make our wooden pieces. This allows farmers to plant more trees and provides them with a supplementary income.
To care for the marble, we recommend washing after every use. Use a mild dish soap and do not leave to soak, marble is a porous material and can easily stain. Do not scrub as this may scratch the marble. Handle with care to prevent chipping. Due to the nature of the wood, the colour may change over time. To nourish and protect the natural wood rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a dry cloth. Please note that adding oil may darken the tone of the wood.
