These reclaimed fire bowls capture the rich history of their past, crafted from reclaimed metal, many up to 100 years old. The rustic, weathered patina illustrates their previous life. Traditionally used as cooking bowls, Indian families would gather together and cook vast curries and other traditional dishes to share with family and friends. We’ve adapted our Kadai’s to include a stand and grill making them great for barbeques or you can simply remove the grill and use them as a fire bowl, bringing warmth and atmosphere to an outdoor setting. These Kadai’s are sturdy and heavy, their heritage adds to their unique look and feel providing a sense of quality and longevity.
Words of Wisdom
These reclaimed fire bowls have a rich patina and weathered finish.
How to care for your Kadai Fire bowl: After use it is advisable to clean the grill with a wire brush and hot soapy water, then dry with a cloth. You can apply a cooking oil to help protect the grill, then store in a dry place. Our fire bowls are made from iron, a robust and long-lasting material. To prolong the look of your fire bowl we recommend putting it under cover during the winter months. Remove stagnate rainwater regularly to prevent rusting. As with the grill the fire bowl can be rubbed down with wire brush. A fire bowl can be used with both wood and charcoal.
Our Kadai fire bowls are only suitable for outdoor use. Do not use in an enclosed area or building or under an overhead structure. Never use spirit or petrol when lighting your kadai fire bowl. Only light with certified firelighters.
Warning: A Kadai fire bowl will get very hot in use. Do not touch without heat proof gloves. Please ensure it has cooled fully before handling. Keep children and pets out of reach.
