Our Mika Rug is rich with texture and softness. The recycled plastic yarn has a soft cotton-like feel. The monochrome tones provide a stylish neutral base for room styling.
These pieces are handmade from recycled plastic yarn that is shower proof. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a highly recyclable plastic resin. Currently, a large perecentage of soft drinks are packaged in PET plastic bottles. The recycing process involves breaking the plastic back into its original monomors, where it can be spun into yarns. The resulting thread has a similar look and feel to cotton.
Clean spill immediately by blotting with clean sponge or cloth. Vacuum regularly. Can be professionally cleaned. Colours may fade in direct sunlight. Due to the nature of the materials used some shedding of fibre is to be expected.

Love this rug. Full of texture and features that make it work both ways round. I think I prefer it laid back to front but beautiful either way. Incredible that it’s made of recycled plastic because it feels just like wool.
When I opened the package I literally said wow out loud. This is a stunning rug. It’s also very soft and quite deep. I’ve given it a trim on arrival as there was some excess fluffiness in places. I’ve also moved it to a low traffic area as I sensed I might be stressed by any carelessness in the vacinity of it due to potential fluffing and the colour. I’d go so far as to say this is the best rug I’ve seen though I haven’t been studying closely before my recent move.
