Product description

These stylish Indu standing frames have a chunky wood design, made with sustainable mango wood. The combination of natural wood and see-through glass makes this a timeless classic that really showcases the image within. This simple frame has a clever design. The reverse piece of glass slides out allowing you to place your photograph or artwork in place before sliding the glass panel back in.

Words of Wisdom

Our mango wood pieces are created from sustainable mango wood. The Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit, harvested over a number of years. Once the trees have stopped bearing fruit, they can be cut down and used to make our wooden pieces. This allows farmers to plant more trees and provides them with a supplementary income.

Care instructions

To care for your frame, we recommend regularly wiping with a soft, dry cloth to prevent the build up of dust or dirt. We recommend a microfiber cloth in a circular motion for the glass. You may wish to protect the natural wood by rubbing an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth. Please note this may darken the tone of the wood.

Good quality frame

Gorgeous quality frame, which looks stunning. The sliding wooden compartment at the bottom of frame is a little unstable, however, and when lifting the frame results in unneccesary movement to the side, which is why I have provided 4 stars.

Additionally- and this is nothing to do with the frame- but I was shocked at the amount of packaging when it arrived. The box containing the frame, which was securely packaged with polystyrene, was positioned in a much larger box containing over 40 meters of brown recycled wrapping paper! I was sorely disappointed as it was not required and felt hugely wasteful, ironic considering Nkuku are an eco friendly business and supplier. 40 meters of paper was very, very timely folding it down to ensure it fitted into a recycling waste bag. I wasn't happy. I hope Nkuku can feed this back to their packaging/fulfilment department- it simply wasn't necessary.

Overall good

I was happy with my purchase. I feel it could be a little more sturdy in terms of the slot that holds in the glass. I was pretty appalled at the amount of packaging used to send one frame - 2 boxes and a load of paper on top of polystyrene which smudged the frame itself anyway. (Had to wipe down with cloth). The opening and closing to get a photo in is fiddly and quite clunky - if not careful could easily break. The aesthetic is nice however and in this case works well as a gift.
