The Salem hemp rug is made from natural hemp, interwoven with a simple black stitch. Hemp is a tactile, eco material that is durable and beautiful with a calming neutral colour palette that creates a relaxed aesthetic. The simple touch of black thread adds just the right amount of detail to this timeless and versatile rug.

Hemp is an ideal material for creating durable and tactile products for the home from rugs to upholstery. It is a natural fibre that can be spun into durable strong threads. Hemp does not require pesticides and its density of growth leaves little room for weeds.

Care Instructions

Clean spill immediately by blotting with clean sponge or cloth. Vaccum regularly. Can be professionally cleaned. Colours may fade in direct sunlight. Due to the nature of the materials used some shedding of fibre is to be expected.

  • 150 x 240cm - Large Item Delivery, (UK Mainland only) 2 - 3 weeks - £4.95 (Free on orders over £80) We work with specialist courier Furdeco for this item. Orders placed after the 9th of December will be delivered in January 2023. 
  • 200 x 300cm - Large Item Delivery, (UK Mainland only) 2 - 3 weeks - £4.95 (Free on orders over £80) We work with specialist courier Furdeco for this item. Orders placed after the 9th of December will be delivered in January 2023.

Lovely traditional weave but so dirty!

Not disappointed with the rug, the texture, the weave, the design. All very stylish and what I was looking for. However, the rugs are sandy. The amount of dust and sand coming off them is quite horrendous! I can only assume that they're made in a sandy place perhaps (?) but they haven't been beaten - no attempt to get the dirt off it before delivery. I'm vacuuming constantly underneath it, but it just doesn't stop shedding sandy bits. Weird!
