These tannins may be released from the wood when exposed to rain, which is a naturally occurring process. Please take this into account when positioning your furniture, for example avoid placing on ceramic or light-coloured flooring. The beauty of hardwoods is their natural resistance to the outdoors. The Jaisalmer collection is uncoated, allowing the hardwood to develop an aged-grey patina over time. To prolong the life of your furniture a natural water-resistant oil or wax can be added.

We recommend washing down your furniture with water before use as there may be some colour run off from the wood. Avoid washing your furniture on a tiled or floor area that may stain.

Features of natural reclaimed hardwood.
This item is made of reclaimed hardwoods. It is important to understand the unique properties and characteristics of reclaimed wood. Wood Shading and Grain Variation in colour, shading and grain between different parts of the same product can occur, this is a normal feature of natural wood. Knots Knots are a natural property of wood; they add interest to each piece and do not affect performance.
Cracks
Reclaimed hardwood can develop cracks along the grain after they have been exposed to the elements, this is a natural property and not a flaw.
Cleaning & storage
A yearly clean with warm water removes algae and pollution to restore the timber surface. Do not use any abrasive or corrosive cleaning products. Although reclaimed hardwood used for outdoor furniture is high in oil content making it weather resistant, we do advise storing in a dry place over the winter months to prolong the life of your furniture.
Care
